|Stopmotion|

Stopmotion is where objects are physically manipulated in increments, between frames so that it appears to move.

|Claymation|

Claymation and Stopmotion are similar, only claymation focuses on clay models that are made with a amateur

Wallace & Gromit, 1989:

|Time Lapse|

In Time Lapse animations the viewer’s sense of perception is used with the special technique, usually depicting the process of generation or the destruction of one with a range of photographs that can span anywhere from days, to months.

|Pixilation|

Pixilation uses the same techniques as Stopmotion, only it focuses on people.

|Cel|

Cel Animation is short for “celluliod” which was a transparent sheet which was drawn upon  and then layered.

Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, 1938:

|Flash|

Flash is animation using Adobe Flash or similar programs, usually vector-based art, in creation.
